BLURB:
As a freshman both in love and in college, sometimes there are painful lessons
to be learned.
Excited to begin his
first year of college, Brett Bridgeworth has just one problem: he sucks at
math. Luckily there’s the sensual and mysterious math tutor, Jeremy Price, to
help him out. It isn't long before Jeremy is tutoring Brett in more than just
pie charts, but it isn’t until they split up that Brett discovers Jeremy’s
twisted, obsessive side.
Sam Hawthorne is two years ahead of Brett, and they share a strong mutual attraction. When Brett breaks it off with Jeremy and gets involved with Sam, disturbing things start happening. It soon becomes obvious that Jeremy isn't willing to let Brett go without a fight.

I held my hands out imploringly. “It’s just that the club is shorthanded, and I gave them
my word I wouldn’t let them down.”
He let out an impatient breath, and he moved to the door. “Let’s go.”
I followed him into the damp night, my spirits at an all-time low. We didn’t say anything
on the short drive to school. He parked where he always did to let me out, and I hesitated with
my fingers on the handle.
“If I hadn’t promised them,” I whispered.
His jaw was tense, and he didn’t look at me. “Good night, Brett.”
I got out of the vehicle because it was obvious he wasn’t happy with me and didn’t want
to talk to me anymore. Jeremy tore out of the parking lot with a roar of the engine, and I went to
my meeting feeling dejected.
When I got to the meeting, I sat in the empty seat next to Sam, and he did a double take.
“What’s wrong?” he whispered.
I shook my head. “Nothing.”
“Right.” He smirked but allowed his focus to wander back to Patricia, who was at the
podium explaining where the next beach cleanup would be.
When the lights went back on and everybody stood up to enjoy punch and cookies, Sam
pulled me aside. “Okay, what gives?”
“Nothing.” I stared at my shoes.
“You’re a horrible liar.” He obviously wasn’t going to drop it easily.
I raked my hand through my hair. “It’s just, Jeremy is mad at me.”
“Why?”
“He didn’t want me to come to the meeting tonight.” I laughed sheepishly. It all sounded
pretty silly when I said it aloud.
Sam frowned. “Really? He said that?”
I didn’t want to go into details with Sam about how my relationship with Jeremy had
progressed. I knew he didn’t like Jeremy, and the last thing I wanted was to say we were having
sex. I didn’t need Sam pissed off at me too. “He wanted to have dinner, but I promised I’d be
here tonight, so we had a little tiff.”
“Huh.” Sam scratched his chin. “Is he like that a lot?”
“What do you mean?”
Sam shrugged. “Does he make you feel bad for spending time doing other things with
other people?” He looked puzzled, his brows pulled together in a frown.
“Oh, we have our little routine after tutoring, and he doesn’t like it when it gets changed.”
I tried to make light of it. “It’ll blow over.”
“Everybody needs outside interests.” He crunched into a chocolate chip cookie, and as he
chewed, he watched me closely. “He sounds pretty demanding for a tutor.”
Warmth crept into my cheeks. “I’m very bad at math. He has his work cut out for him.”
There was a little guilt that I was hiding the sexual nature of my relationship with Jeremy from
Sam. But I didn’t want any more arguments tonight, and I had a feeling if Sam knew I’d screwed
Jeremy, he’d blow a gasket.
“You enjoy belonging to the Ocean Club, right?”
I nodded. “I love it.”
Sam shoved the rest of his cookie into his mouth, and I looked around the room as if the
drab beige walls were fascinating. When he’d swallowed he continued his train of thought from
earlier.
“He’s in charge of teaching you math, not organizing your social life. Maybe you need to
have a talk with him.”
I sighed and realized I’d have to at least come clean about the fact that Jeremy and I were
more than simply tutor and tutee. Although no way in hell was I going to mention the sex part of
the equation. “I kind of want more with him. We… ugh… we enjoy each other’s company even
when he isn’t teaching me stuff.”
Sam stilled and then cleared his throat. “Oh.”
“I mean, we’re not engaged.” I laughed nervously and a little too loudly. “But I’m
appreciating getting to know him better.”
“Okay. But still, anyone who cares about you should want you to have other things in
your life besides studying and spending time with them. Doesn’t Jeremy have any other hobbies
or friends he hangs out with?”
I was embarrassed to realize I had no idea what Jeremy did in his spare time or what his
interests were. I always hoped he would open up to me and tell me more about himself, but he
never seemed to. He was excellent at evading my questions about his personal life.
“Of course,” I lied.

Wynne started writing m/m in 2013 and did look back once. She wanted to say
that because it seems everyone's bio says they never looked back and, well S.C.
Wynne is all about the joke. She loves writing m/m and her characters are
usually a little jaded, funny and ultimately redeemed through love.
S.C

incredibly thirsty. S.C. Wynne loves the rain and should really live in Seattle
but instead has landed in sunny, sunny, unbelievably sunny California. Writing
is the best profession she could have chosen because S.C. is a little bit of a
control freak. To sit in her pajamas all day and pound the keys of her laptop
controlling the every thought and emotion of the characters she invents is a
dream come true.

This sounds quite good. Seems like Jeremy is one possessive psychopath. Looking forward to reading this book.
