Virtual Blog Tour & Giveaway ~ Skin Hunger by Eli Lang

Hello, I’m Eli Lang.  Welcome to the blog tour for my contemporary f/f romance, Skin Hunger.  Join in on the discussion in the comments and have fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

About Skin Hunger

Ava should be living her dream as the drummer for Escaping Indigo. The problem is, she’s secretly in love with her bandmate, Tuck. But he’s fallen for someone else. Being a drummer is still the best, but for Ava, every day is also a reminder of what she can’t have.

With her grandmother moving into assisted living, Ava figures it’s a good time to head home and help out. And if it lets her get some distance from Tuck and his girlfriend, all the better. But Ava hasn’t visited her family in years, and home isn’t really home anymore. Instead, it’s the place she’s been running from, full of memories of everything her parents wanted for her—and everything she didn’t want for herself.

But on the airplane, Ava meets Cara, and the two women feel an immediate connection. And when they bump into each other a second time, it seems like fate. Cara offers Ava something she’s never had—someone to love who loves her back. But to be with Cara, Ava may have to change her whole life around, and that’s something she’s not sure she’s ready for.

About the Escaping Indigo Series

Escaping Indigo is a busy band, whether they’re playing edgy rock music in a darkened theater, touring the country together, or meeting up with other musicians at a summer festival. And they’re always writing new melodies, new riffs, and new lyrics to tell their stories.

Micah, a drummer, is hoping to leave the memories of his old band behind by going on tour with Escaping Indigo as a stagehand. But there he meets Bellamy, the lead singer, and he finds himself tangled in a romance that makes him face everything he’s lost.

Ava, drummer for Escaping Indigo, is hoping that time away from the band will give her a chance to sort through her complicated feelings for her best friend, who’s in love with someone else. But a chance meeting with a beautiful woman leads to an unexpected romance that makes Ava rethink her plans for her future.

From unrequited love to finding your way, old friendships to lost dreams, surprising secrets to unexpected encounters, Escaping Indigo has a song to suit.

Virtual Blog Tour & Giveaway ~ Watch Point by Cecilia Tan

Hello! I'm Cecilia Tan, and right now I'm virtually touring my gay Navy SEAL romance, WATCH POINT. At each stop on the tour, leave comments to be entered to win a gay/queer romance prize pack from yours truly, including not only a copy of Watch Point, but a few of my other books (The Prince's Boy, Magic University) and a Daron's Guitar Chronicles swag pack with notebook and stickers.

About Watch Point

Eric Sakai-Johnson joined the Navy SEALs to protect his country and the people he loves. After discharge, he finds himself relegated to protecting big pharma billionaire Aiden Milford from assassination attempts and kidnapping. Until Aiden reneges on a promise, fires Eric, and lets Eric’s mother die with millions of dollars in medical debt.

Now Eric is the kidnapper. Snatching Aiden’s twenty-two-year-old son, Chase, for a multi-million-dollar ransom is the only way to get justice. It’s time for Aiden to learn what it’s like when someone you love is at the mercy of forces beyond your control. Eric has it all planned out. The one thing he didn’t plan for is the intense erotic spark between him and Chase.

Chase has been chafing under his father’s autocratic control. A gay hookup app has been his only ticket to rebellion—to clandestine moments of freedom, excitement, and danger. Now it’s his ticket to a deep connection and amazing sex with his “captor.” On the rocky island where they’re sequestered, Chase finds Eric to be everything he wants in a man: quiet, strong, capable, and honorable . . . until he finds out he’s been captured for real.

About Cecilia Tan

Cecilia Tan is "simply one of the most important writers, editors, and innovators in contemporary American erotic literature," according to Susie Bright. RT Magazine awarded her Career Achievement in Erotic Romance in 2015 and their prestigious Pioneer Award. Tan's BDSM romance novel Slow Surrender (2013) also won the RT Reviewers Choice Award in Erotic Romance and the Maggie Award for Excellence from the Georgia Romance Writers chapter of RWA.

Her professional writing career began when she was still a teenager and her father offered to match every dollar she earned from writing while she lived at home. She immediately landed a gig writing a monthly column for Superteen magazine and provided articles to Teen Machine and other teen magazines. Her first professional fiction sale didn't come until after college, though. While working a day job in book publishing in Boston, she began sending out erotic short stories. On the day she left her job to pursue a master’s degree in writing, her first short story acceptance arrived.

That was in 1992, several months after she'd founded Circlet Press, Inc., then the only book publisher dedicated to erotic science fiction and fantasy. Her first book, Telepaths Don't Need Safewords, was self-published through Circlet because there was literally nowhere else that would even consider it.

Since then, Tan has authored many books, including the ground-breaking erotic short story collections Black Feathers, White Flames, and Edge Plays, and the erotic romances Slow Surrender, Slow Seduction, and Slow Satisfaction, the Secrets of a Rock Star series, The Prince's Boy, The Hot Streak, and the Magic University series—as well as various nonfiction books on baseball including The 50 Greatest Yankee Games and The 50 Greatest Red Sox Games.

Her short stories have appeared in Ms. Magazine, Nerve, Best American Erotica, Asimov's Science Fiction, and tons of other places. She was inducted into the Saints & Sinners Hall of Fame for GLBT writers in 2010, was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Leather Association in 2004, and won the inaugural Rose & Bay Awards for Best Fiction in 2010 for her crowdfunded web fiction serial Daron's Guitar Chronicles.

She is the editor of the Baseball Research Journal and is publications director for the Society for American Baseball Research. She is also a part-time taekwondo instructor and is a certified therapist in an Asian bodywork style known as Okazaki restorative therapy. (That's a fancy way of saying she can break you and then fix you up again.)

Tan has also been a lifelong activist in the BDSM and leather/fetish community. She is the founder of the Fetish Fair Fleamarket, the largest BDSM event in New England, and served for twenty years on the board of directors of the New England Leather Alliance (NELA) before stepping down to concentrate on writing and education.

She lives in the Boston area with her lifelong partner Corwin and three cats. Find out more at www.ceciliatan.com.

Book Blurb:

Their love is forbidden, but their hearts aren’t listening to rules and regulations…
Lieutenant Dustin Strauss is a reformed man. No longer a twentysomething hell-raiser, he’s his SEAL team’s new XO—and a man with a secret. Or seven. He's kept his bisexual identity under wraps for years, along with his kinky side and a fondness for the military-themed semi-anonymous hookup website Joe4Joe. His latest chat buddy is more than a sexy online distraction—they're taking their very not-safe-for-work relationship into real time.
Petty Officer Wes Lowe has a smart mouth, a take-charge attitude and an uncanny ability for making things go boom. The life of an enlisted man isn't always enough to satisfy him, but one wild, no-questions-asked weekend with his online love comes close. When a transfer order comes in, Wes feels ready and centered. He'll make a good impression on his new SEAL team and keep his growing feelings for Dustin on the down low.
But as they log more time online and some very real emotions surface, Dustin and Wes struggle to pretend they're just a harmless fling. And when his commander introduces Dustin to his team's newest member, they're in for the shock of a lifetime…and a crushing disappointment: their difference in ranks means even a friendship without sexual contact could end their navy careers for good.
With their hearts on the line, Dustin and Wes may not survive their next mission, let alone find a way toward a future together.

Excerpt
I’m not sure how much longer I can do this. Dread, sick and sharp, pierced him right in the gut. He simply wasn’t prepared for dealing with this avalanche of emotions, this overwhelming need to ensure Wes’s safety. He’d done his duty for well over a decade now, and never, not once, had he been as freaked out as he was right then. Something’s got to give.

4.5*

Dustin and Wes have been chatting for months under screen names on an app called Joe4Joe. Not really knowing their full names or even their faces fully, and definitely not their actual jobs.

When SaucerMan (Wes) learns hat Godzilla (Dustin) is young to be in his neck of the woods *let's meet* are he first words out of his mouth.

Dustin is this gigantic man. Built, broad shoulders, thick thighs, not to mention, a SEAL. So to see him so nervous is kind of endearing. To top it off, he likes his guy a bit bossy, and SaucerMan is definitely up for that job. It's also "unexpected". I love it when the "smaller" man is in charge, break that stereotypical mould.

Their online interactions and their commonality in things such as movies and documentaries is basically a nerdy wet dream. So it's only right that they would fit together naturally in real life. But after their DC trip and Wes goes ghost, only to show up in Dustin's squad, it's like the bottom drops out. You see, there's zero fraternizing especially with a leader and someone enlisted. So these guys have to find a way to just be teammates.

Only months of being basically besties with some bennies, it's a very tough situation. I was waiting for that other shoe to drop the whole time. Waiting for them to get busted, and Dustin to get sanctioned.

There were a lot of ups and downs and emotional highs and lows. Not even just between the guys, but Wes and his family and the turmoil Dustin feels because all he wants to do is comfort Wes.

I can't say this book is a HEA, but it is definitely a HFN, which is another aspect to the book that I really dig. It's a long road, and one they're fighting for in silence, but it will be well worth it once they get to be where they need to be. I think it also leaves a lot of story open for future books, even if they're not the sole purpose of said book.

I think Dustin and Wes are my current favorite OoU guys and I really hope they pop up in future stories. As for Curly.... I'm still kind of mad at him, but I hope he can be fully redeemed and I hope we get some Bacon in the future :)

What’s in a name?

A big thank you to the kind folks at We Three Queens Book Blog for having me here today.

The first impression of a book comes from its name. Names are important to many things for a multitude of reasons. Titles—the book’s name—is important. A book’s title needs to say something about what’s between the covers. It needs to speak to the reader, pique their interest and give them a hint about what is to come. It’s that very first ‘hook’ presented to the world of readers.

High Test is a title with multiple meanings and represents the layers of this book. There are the characters and what it says about them. Hayden is a PhD student, studying engine design for high-performance cars. The term ‘high test’ represents a type of engine fuel.

Hayden is a barista in a coffee shop where Neal often visits him. As Neal tells Hayden—more than once—he prefers the ‘high test’ coffee. No decaf for that man! Neal also owns a high-performance car.

Of course, no one is really going to realize how the title ties into some of the smaller details in the story until they read it. Titles are objective. What might attract me to a book won’t have much of an effect on the next person.

I’ve never been able to write a book that didn’t have a title. Often that’s one of the first parts of the story that comes to me. How important are titles to you? Comment to be entered into a drawing for a free eBook from me. I’ll give away one book from my backlist (published 2016 or earlier), anthologies and bundles excluded. I’ll leave the contest open for one week.

Happy reading,
Elizabeth Noble

Blurb:
Hayden Owens is just your typical graduate student working his way through school as a barista for the Owens Coffee Company—no relation. But he keeps the “no relation” part to himself when he meets dashing, older Neal Kirchner, a successful architect from an old-money family. Hayden doesn’t exactly lie, but he figures it can’t hurt for Neal to believe he’s a rich kid. After all, Hayden doesn’t want Neal thinking he’s a gold digger.

The closer they become, the harder it gets for Hayden to come clean. Something always seems to get in the way. When a company bankruptcy and a jilted, vindictive woman threaten to expose his charade, Hayden thinks it’s all gone down the drain. Luckily Neal is ready with some innocent trickery of his own.

Excerpt:
Ushering Hayden with him, Neal walked fast toward the exit. Once they were outside and heading across the parking lot, he sighed. “I’m sorry. She’s Mirabel’s granddaughter. I love Mirabel to death, but Maeve doesn’t get it. I’m not ever going to be interested in her. I wasn’t when I was thirty-five and definitely not now that I’m forty-five.”

“No worries. It seems there’s one of those in every crowd.” Hayden stopped beside the Aston Martin and waited for Neal to unlock the car. As soon as he heard the little bleep from the remote, he got in and settled into a seat that was more comfortable than his furniture.
Neal leaned forward as he drove and peered out the front window at the sky. “I hope we don’t get rained out.”

“Me too,” Hayden agreed and took out his phone. “Storm warnings, high winds possible, sort of the normal stuff.”

Neal nodded. He maneuvered the car onto the highway and glanced at Hayden, then snickered. “Watch out for the cops.”

“Sweet!”

Once they cleared the on-ramp, Neal opened the car up. The traffic wasn’t heavy; in fact there was very little at this time of day.

“Zero to sixty in under four seconds,” Neal bragged good-naturedly.

“Two twenty top speed,” Hayden added. “My classic cars have nothing on this baby.” Even with the cloudy sky, the light shone off the car’s exterior brilliantly and generated hues of blues, silvers, and purples. The ride was incredibly smooth, and even when accelerating, the engine purred. Hayden might not have noticed the shifting gears if he weren’t so tuned in to vehicles and their different types of engines. He leaned over far enough to get a glimpse of the speedometer. “You ever open it up and go top speed?” They were doing a little over 125 mph now.

Neal shook his head. They came up on a part of the highway with more cars. He lifted his foot off the gas pedal, and the car slowed. Hayden paid very close attention and caught the sound of downshifting gears and the change in the engine’s hum.

“Not on public roads. I have a house and property not far from here, and I have
gone top speed there. I don’t think you simply get a ticket for going that fast on a highway. I’d probably be executed or something,” Neal said.

Hayden burst out laughing. “I doubt it’d be that bad.”

Elizabeth Noble Bio:

Mystery, action, chills, and thrills spiced with romance and desire.

ELIZABETH NOBLE started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into books and fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able to share her works with Dreamspinner is really a dream come true. She has a real love for a good mystery complete with murder and twisty plots as well as all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.

Elizabeth has three grown children, two grandchildren, and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed-breed canine princess and her sidekick tabby cat. Elizabeth lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening and winter and summer sports (go Tribe and Cavs!) and stargazing all year long. When she’s not writing, she’s working as a veterinary nurse, so don’t be surprised to see her men with a pet or three who are a very big part of their lives.

Elizabeth has received a number of amateur writing awards. Since being published, several of her novels have received Honorable Mentions in the Rainbow Awards. Jewel Cave was a runner-up in the Gay Mystery/Thriller category in the 2015 Rainbow Awards. Ringed Love was a winner in the Gay Fantasy Romance category of the 2016 Rainbow Awards.
